House and flat lockouts handled with non-destructive entry first
Getting locked out of your house is one of the most common reasons people call us, and it is almost always more straightforward than it feels in the moment. The vast majority of UK front doors use either a Yale-type nightlatch, a 5-lever mortice deadlock, or a uPVC and composite door with a multipoint lock and a euro cylinder. For each of these our locksmiths are trained to open the door without drilling or damage wherever the lock allows it, so you are not left paying to replace hardware that was working perfectly fine before you shut the door behind you.
Non-destructive entry is always our starting point. On a slammed nightlatch, for example, there is often a way back in that does not touch the mechanism at all. On uPVC doors the approach is different again, and the condition of the lock, whether it has been snapped or jammed, and whether the door is on the latch or fully deadlocked all change what is possible. If a lock genuinely cannot be opened cleanly, we explain why before going further, and we only ever move to a more invasive method once you understand what it involves and have agreed the price.
Because we are a local mobile service covering all of Slough, from Manor Park and Britwell to Langley and Colnbrook, we can reach most addresses quickly and carry replacement cylinders and common parts on the van. That means if a lock does need changing after we gain entry, we can often sort it on the same visit rather than leaving you to wait for a second appointment.
